Oh no, I have to watch the View again! Tomorrow Friday, February 6th, at 11AM EST, the latest SECRET WARS news will be announced...

I went through the old mailbag and found some newsy bits I had previously missed. Toys, books, shorts, variants, and the Cackler.

IDW sort of hinted at this back at NYCC, when they announced an Artists Editions of the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck by Don Rosa. At the retailer meeting, Dirk Wood said, in that special way of his, something along the lines of "There will be more coming from IDW and Disney." which at the time was a pretty clear indication there would be...more. And so there is, and they mentioned it again in the fall but no one noticed. And now they just slyly let it out in the April Solicitations.

Whoa, Guardians of the Galaxy…where to start. In a summer of unexceptional sequels and remakes, Marvel and Disney triumphed with a new creation that had a fresh take on the space opera genre, while introducing such comics elements as Thanos, Infinity Gems, and Rocket Raccoon. I never thought I would type that sentence outside of a fever dream.
