UPDATE: PlayStation Blog posted this trailer with their announcement for Infinity 3.0 this morning, which also mentions pre-orders for the game are now available.

Late last night we talked a bit about the recent Disney Infinity 3.0 leak and this morning the official word was announced via the cover of Game Informer. The Star Wars Disney Infinity 3.0 starter set will launch for PlayStation platforms, Xbox systems, Wii U, and on PC for $65. 3.0 will also have characters from Age of Ultron available for purchase.

An eclectic mix of game studios are tackling different aspects of this new edition of Disney Infinity. The developer behind the Devil May Cry reboot, Ninja Theory, is working on the light saber fighting feature of Infinity 3.0, while Sleeping Dogs dev United Front is handling the Age of Ultron-themed stuff. As if that weren’t enough the folks behind Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, Sumo Digital, are working on Millennium Falcon stuff for Infinity.

The debut set for Infinity 3.0 is Twilight of the Republic and it takes place after the Attack of the Clones. It features Anakin and Ahsoka as they fight to uncover who’s behind a freshly minted droid army. Another set called Rise Against the Empire will see  “Luke and Leia tangle with Darth Vader and his forces through memorable sequences, including the battle of Yavin as well as time on Hoth and Tatooine.”

By the looks of Game Informer’s cover the reported rumors of Tron characters and classic Mickey were also correct.
