When Warner Bros. and Nickelodeon first release the trailer for Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, an animated crossover that guaranteed the much sought after millenial audience, fan enthusiasm was through the roof! Inspired by the DC/IDW comics crossover miniseries by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II, Batman vs. TMNT is a bona fide hit.
Given a cryptic post-credits scene that hinted at a sequel possibility, many are waiting with bated breath when a sequel is officially announced. Until then, fans can make do with an action figure line based on the Batman vs. TMNT animated feature that will be sold exclusively at GameStop this fall.
Diamond is already selling a Michelangelo as Batman action figure among its Exclusives at SDCC with Entertainment Earth selling any remaining supplies. This GameStop toy line however will feature each TMNT paired with a member Bat Family counterpart. Plus the franchises respective villains i.e. Shredder and Ra’s al Ghul.
Veteran toy sculptor Paul Harding, whose work has graced DC Collectibles in the past, revealed via social media that he along with painter Michael Cowart were involved in the Batman vs. TMNT figures.

Perhaps if this first wave of the TMNT/Bat Family is successfully, DC Collectibles will launch another wave featuring Batman’s Arkham rogues gallery featured in the film. Bonus points if they release both normal and mutated versions like Joker cobra and Mr. Freeze polar bear. But if they do only release one version, let’s face it the majority would want the mutant versions and I am completely fine with that.
Time to start getting your holiday wish list ready! If you’ve got the cash to shell out, then you definitely want to make all of these a part of your collection.
