Coming off of this summer's abysmal adaptation of The Dark Tower, Stephen King fans have reason to be weary. King's novels can be difficult to adapt to the big screen, both too sprawling and other-worldly to see play out with your standard issue director without seeming broad or cartoonish. But IT, as a project, held some promise in the early days.
Actress Danielle Panabaker, who plays Dr. Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost on The Flash, attended Dragon Con this year, where she provided a few (mostly, incredibly cryptic) clues about what's in store for season 4 of The Flash.

The X-Men will be making an appearance on Fox this fall with the new series The Gifted - a one hour drama by Matt Nix starring Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker as the Struckers, parents of mutant children who have to take their family on the run to protect it. Though the show will be set in a distinct and separate timeline from the movies, it will still inhabit the X-Men universe and features characters like Blink (Jamie Chung), Polaris (Emma Dumont), and Thunderbird (Blair Redford).
The activations at this year's SDCC have become more story-focused than ever, and when you're immersed in a story from FX's Legion, you can imagine you're in for a pretty trippy experience. Located on the lawn of the Hilton Bayfront, the Legion Mixed Reality Experience uses HoloLens, a headset developed by Microsoft that allows for augmented reality to overlay graphics and sound on your physical environment.
If you've been following AMC's Preacher, you've probably noticed that the show - up until now - was largely covering ground that seemed to take place before the comic. Speaking at San Diego Comic Con today, producer Seth Rogen confirmed that while season one was largely a prequel to the source material, future seasons would be delving into the comic's content, albeit possibly taking different paths to get there.

When Battlestar Galactica launched in 2004 on SyFy, it defined the concept of “binge-watching” television for millions of Americans (to the point that the concept was parodied in a sketch on Portlandia). But producers Ron Moore and David Eick, who were on-hand for the Battlestar Galactica reunion panel at San Diego Comic Con, aren’t sure the show would have thrived in the same way in newer streaming models that encourage binge-watching.
Escape rooms are pretty trendy right now, so it makes to see one pop at SDCC off-site events this year – the room, presented by Alcon Television Group and themed to SyFy’s series The Expanse, pits two teams (between 4-5 people on a team) against one another in a race to escape a failing ship. The event is located at 450 2nd Avenue and is open from 10 AM to 7 PM Thursday and Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM Saturday, and 10 AM to 6 PM on Sunday.
There's no shortage of off-site events at SDCC this year, and USA’s Mr. Robot is back on the ground with a new concept. At a makeshift E Corp bank located at 327 4th Avenue, fans can open an "account" with E Corp, loaded with 20 Ecoin cryptocurrency. The event is open from 11 AM - 7 PM through Saturday and then from 11-4 PM Sunday.
