Season Six of Agents of SHIELD is near and we’ve just learned of some new cast members who will be jumping into the fray. The last season saw a dramatic shift for the titular organization with the death of Phil Coulson and SHIELD agent Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie stepping up as Director; thanks to exclusive photos and character descriptions from TVLine, we now know about a few new characters who could aid or antagonize our beloved agents. Take a look at both below:
- Actress Karolina Wydra (Quantico, True Blood) will be playing Izel: “[A] mercenary from another galaxy who joins forces with the S.H.I.E.L.D. team in order to survive the perils of space.”
- Christopher James Baker (Ozark, True Detective) is Malachi: “[A] mysterious assassin from a distant planet.”
- Barry Shabaka Henley (A Star is Born, Bosch) joins as Dr. Marcus Benson: “[A] brilliant Natural Sciences professor recruited to offer his expertise to the S.H.I.E.L.D. team.”
