A story of the body I’ve kept, and even loved, despite itself.

Jeremy Sorese is the creator of the acclaimed Curveball, a sprawling, gorgeous graphic novel that mixes SF themes with an intimate tale of a broken heart. He also suffers from ulcerative colitis, the effects of which he describes in What It Feels Like To Have A Chronic Illness, published at Buzzfeed of all places. While it’s a touching portrait of what it’s like to suffer from a debilitating disease, it’s also a fantastic Webcomic, using the scrolling format color and layout to amplify and dramatize his experiences.
