Last week we told you about Cerebus in Hell #0, a new “fumetti” style comic strip by Dave Sim and Sandeep Atwal that uses Gustave Dore’s art and Sim’s captions to reveal the earthpig’s descent into the afterlife in a darkly humorous fashion. There will be a one shot, available in October, daily Cerebus in Hell? strips at cerebusdownloads.com starting right now, and every Friday all of the previous week’s strips will be posted atamomentofcerebus.com.
To promote the project Sim and Atwal have created a bunch of exclusive strips just for various media outlets and comics shops. These strips will NOT be reprinted in CEREBUS IN HELL? #0 or in the 4-issue CEREBUS IN HELL? mini-series in 2017. For now this is the only place you can see it!
It’s all to gear up to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Cerebus in 2017. Although Sim is not able to draw right now because of a wrist ailment, he’s still writing, and this is a clever way to get Cerebus back out there without destroying more of Sim’s tendons.
The Beat’s very own Cerebus strip. This is a very special day, and I’m not even joking. So enjoy!
