Speaking of Corman, she recently published another view of her view of motherhood called Life is an Ambush. My Two Birth Stories at the Nib, and it’s one of her most gorgeous comics to date.
Corman and her husband, fellow cartoonist Tom Hart, lost their first daughter, Rosalie, in 2011, and this unbearable event has given rise to some amazing work, including Hart’s graphic novel, Rosalie Lightning. John Seven reviewed Corman’s We All Wish For Deadly Force, a collection of her graphic short stories, at the Beat recently. Corman’s work has grown and grown over the years, and this latest comic is proof of that.
