During Disney’s advertising upfront, the company brought Paul Bettany on stage to reveal VisionQuest will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, October 14. The eight-part series, created by Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard), is billed as the final installment of the trilogy begun by WandaVision (2021) and Agatha All Along (2024), and will follow the original version of Bettany’s synthezoid Avenger after his resurrection on the first series.

VisionQuest will also see the return of James Spader as Ultron, reprising his role for the first time since Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and also feature Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer as Tony Stark’s old arm robots D.U.M.-E and U; James D’Arcy as the original J.A.R.V.I.S.; Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y.; Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H.; and Ruaridh Mollica as Thomas Shepherd (formerly Tommy Maximoff).
Further cast members will include Todd Stashwick as mercenary antagonist Paladin; Diane Morgan as one of his associates; T’Nia Miller as Jocasta; Faran Tahir as Raza, the Ten Rings commander from the first Iron Man film (where Bettany debuted in the MCU as J.A.R.V.I.S. in 2008); Lauren Morais as Thomas’s friend Lisa Molinari; and Mary McDonnell (Dances With Wolves) in an unknown role.

Additionally, Rosario Dawson appeared during the presentation to confirm Ahsoka season two will premiere on the streaming service in early 2027. The first season of the show, which is a continuation of Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka’s appearance on The Mandalorian, premiered on Disney+ back in the summer of 2023, during the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Its release window means mean 2026 will mark the first year without a new live-action Star Wars series since The Mandalorian‘s premiere in 2019, although The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released in theaters on May 22.
The second season will bring in Rory McCann (Game of Thrones) as fallen Jedi master Baylan Skoll, who was played on the first by the late Ray Stevenson. Returning cast members also include Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.
