The Percy Jackson and the Olympians panel officially kicked-off Hall H on Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.
Panelists included executive producers Craig Silverstein and Dan Shotz and cast members Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Aryan Simhadri (Grover), Tamara Smart (Thalia), Charlie Bushnell (Luke), Levi Chrisopulos (Nico di Angelo), and Olive Ambercrombie (Bianca di Angelo). Moderator Juju Green led the discussion with a virtual appearance by Leah Sava’ Jeffries (Annabeth Chase).
Jeffries greeted the hall and explained that her in-person absence was due to her recent booking for the upcoming Cheetah Girls reboot. Jeffries shared an exclusive first look at an extended scene between her character Annabeth, Percy, and Thalia in the upcoming PJO Season 3.
Following the screening, the newer cast members spoke about their experiences on set. Newcomer Chrisopulos, who plays son of Hades, Nico di Angelo, expressed how much being a part of the show and being at his first San Diego Comic-Con meant to him: “It is crazy, you know?”
For Ambercrombie, who plays Nico’s older sister and daughter of Hades, Bianca di Angelo, it’s been a fun experience: “It was incredible…just seeing how much it means to people.” She added, “So I watched the show right when we cast….yeah it’s just incredible.”
Executive producer Shotz also made it a point to reassure the crowd that the production for PJO Season 3 followed The Titan’s Curse, book 3 in author Rick Riordan’s beloved series, as closely as possible.
“They were all accurate,” Shotz joked. “The thing is, the book is open every moment. Craig, the team, the book is there. We look at it all day.”
Overall, the panelists provided just enough humor and teases to generate excitement for the upcoming new season of the series. While many of us were expecting a full trailer drop, we may get one soon based on the smaller announcements and news we learned today. In any case, the cast and executive producers seemed genuinely excited about what’s to come, and kept teasing their high hopes, particularly for Season 3, Episode 7.
Prior to ending the panel, Shotz did confirm that not only will the character Atlas appear in Season 3, but they’ve also already cast an actor to portray Hercules.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 will be available November 20 on Disney+.
