Valiant is getting in on the Bay Area comics announcements train with an event next Tuesday that will be live streamed via Periscope Twitter’s live streaming app straight from Twitter HQ. #ValiantSummit, as is hashtagged will feature Robert Venditti (BOOK OF DEATH, X-O MANOWAR), Jen Van Meter (THE DEATH-DEFYING DR. MIRAGE), Valiant CEO & Chief Creative Officer Dinesh Shamdasani, Editor-in-Chief Warren Simons, and Director of Marketing, Communications & Digital Media Hunter Gorinson giving news, announcements, and live Q&A.
The news will be preceded by a Valiant 101 catch-up for newcomers before moving on to news on the Venditti’s BOOK OF DEATH summer event and the reveal on more publishing news.

Teaming with Twitter is a pretty smart way to get some news out there. I haven’t seen too many comics peeps using Periscope yet, so seems like an interesting move for all.
