Random House Graphic has announced that they will be publishing Twin Cities by Jose Pimienta in 2022.
The middle-graphic novel is the story of two twins, Luisa Teresa and Luis Fernando. While the twins have traditionally been inseparable, their bond will be tested when Luisa gets the chance to enroll at a different school on the other side of the border from the Mexican town where they live. Can the two twins survive the endeavor of attended two different schools, even if they still live in the same home?
Random House Graphic took to Twitter on Thursday, December 12th to announce the forthcoming graphic novel.

Pimienta has previously worked with Random House Graphic on Suncatcher, a forthcoming young adult graphic novel set in Mexicali that follows Beatriz, a teenager who must play the perfect song in order to free her grandfather’s soul, which has been trapped inside an old guitar. Suncatcher is slated to be published by Random House Graphic in May of 2020.
Twin Cities joins several other upcoming middle grade graphic novels on the way from the publisher. Also included on Random House Graphic’s lineup for 2020 are The Runaway Princess by Johan Troïanowski on January 21st, Bug Boys by Laura Knetzger on February 11th, Aster and the Accidental Magic by Thom Pico and illustrated by Karensac on March 3rd, and the young adult fantasy Witchlight by Jessi Zabarsky on April 14th.
