Random House Graphic has released interior artwork from their spring 2020 graphic novel debuts, and it looks like they have a great lineup planned. Check out these Random House Graphic previews of The Runaway Princess, Bug Boys, Aster and the Accidental Magic, and Witchlight.
The Runaway Princess
First up is The Runaway Princess by Johan Troïanowski, to be released on January 21. When Robin gets tired of so much princess-ing she decides to cut out and have her own adventures, replete with mermaids, pirates, and swamps. But her parents are in hot pursuit, and they have insidious aims – namely, to bring her home and end her adventure when it’s only just begun.
Bug Boys
On February 11, Bug Boys by Laura Knetzger arrives, the first book in a series about two beetles – Stag-B and Rhino-B – who are best friends. Whether they’re befriending termites, exploring cables, or protecting the local honey supply, these two BBFF (best bug friends forever) are ready to learn all about the world of Bug Village and beyond.
Aster and the Accidental Magic
Aster and the Accidental Magic by Thom Pico and illustrated by Karensac will arrive on March 3. It follows the story of Aster, who is bored out of her mind after she and her family move to the middle of nowhere. However, things start to become a little less boring when she encounters a mysterious woman with a pack of dogs who offers Aster a pet of her own. But when Aster and her new dog Buzz stumble upon a magical trickster in the forest, things might get a little bit too interesting!
Witchlight
On April 14th, Witchlight by Jessi Zabarsky will be released, a young adult fantasy graphic novel about witches, love, and loss. The story follows Lelek, a witch searching for the truth about her past, as she meets a new friend, Sanja, and their lives begin to grow intertwined with one another.
