Announced back in 2020, fans of the original Tiny Toons rejoiced when news hit that a Tiny Toons Looniversity revival was in the works. Of course, the entertainment landscape has changed quite a bit since then. But even with Warner Bros. Discovery’s content purge and programming getting axed left and right, the Tiny Toons reboot has managed to endure. Today Cartoon Network released the first Tiny Toons Looniversity trailer.

Tiny Toons Looniversity would be part of the During the Looney Tunes panel at San Diego Comic-Con last year, new details were revealed for the series including that that Ashleigh Crystal Hairston would be voicing Babs Bunny instead of instead of orginal voice actress Tress MacNeille. Likewise, from the Tiny Toons Looniversity trailer, veteran voice actress Candi Milo can be heard as Granny, having taken over the role from the legendary June Foray. Milo voiced the character Sweetie Bird in the original series, so it seems a safe bet she’ll likely reprise the character in the reboot.

It was also revealed during the SDCC panel that Buster and Babs would be presented as twin siblings, a departure that wasn’t immediately well received by diehard fans of the original. But perhaps time will tell if fans will get on board for this change.

Look for Tiny Toons Looniversity to arrive on Cartoon Network and Max Fall 2023.
