The CW has released the first fifteen-second spot for the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths Arrowverse crossover. The spot was shared across the social media accounts for ArrowThe FlashBatwomanSupergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.

It’s only fifteen seconds, but there’s still a lot to unpack from this first look at the crossover. Here’s the notable info (and forgive the low quality of the screenshots):

The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) has updated his look. Gone are the cape and his signature mutton chops. Is this the same Monitor we’ve been following since last year? Or is this the real Monitor, and the other one is an imposter?

This first group shot confirms something that was teased back at SDCC: Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) is back, and he’s apparently fighting on the side of the angels. Also included in that shot are, from left to right, J’onn J’onnz (David Harewood), Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin), Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), Luthor, and…I don’t know. I thought at first it might be Ryan Choi (Osiric Chau), but he doesn’t appear to be sporting a beard for Crisis. Unless he’s wearing a fake beard?

We’ve known that Black Lightning, which up until this point has not been a part of the Arrowverse, would be taking part in the crossover. This is our first look at Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) in the crossover. It looks pretty intense.

And here’s our first in-motion look at Brandon Routh as Superman, sporting a Kingdom Come-style suit. He looks to be aboard the Waverider, the time-traveling ship the Legends use in their adventures. He also looks pissed, maybe because he just saw his world destroyed by an anti-matter wave?

The other group shot features Kate Kane/Batwoman (Ruby Rose), Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), and Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara), Oliver’s adult daughter from the year 2040. The most recent episode of Arrow had Mia, along with other Team Arrow children Connor Hawke (Joseph David-Jones) and William Harris (Ben Lewis), transported back to 2019 and apparently stuck there for the foreseeable future. Now we know that Mia at least will be sticking around for the crossover.

And finally, another look at the logo for the upcoming event, featuring the heroes and iconography of each Arrowverse series within the “CRISIS” letters.

The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event begins in four short weeks, on Sunday, December 8th.
