The Boys Amazon Prime Video premiere is still two weeks out, but rumors about a second season and casting are already circulating. Although there is no official decision or comment from Amazon, it seems Aya Cash (You’re The Worst, Fosse Verdon) is in talks to play Stormfront in a gender swapping adaptation for the streaming series.

Written by Garth Ennis (Preacher) and drawn by Darick Robertson, The Boys examines the world of superheroes from a dark, graphic perspective. When power and corruption are too closely tied, it takes a team worse than the heroes to keep everything in check. Led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), “The Boys” do what no one else can or will do to take down problematic powered individuals.

In the comic, Stormfront is a male character who is seemingly a combination of Thor and Shazam! (aka DC’s Captain Marvel). He’s also a former member of Hitler Youth and a nasty bigot with tremendous amounts of power, including superhuman strength, durability, flight, and lightning bolts that come from his mouth. Ennis chose the name Stormfront as a reference to the largest white supremacist, Neo-Nazi website in the world. It is definitely an interesting twist on the role if Cash is indeed signing on next season.

The Boys is set to debut on July 26, led by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.  Preacher‘s Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen are set to produce. To read the comics before watching the show, head to Dynamite’s website.
