In the words of Billy Butcher, it’s f*cking diabolical. The Boys series for Amazon Prime Video is set to premiere this week on July 26, and the popular streaming platform has released the final trailer to prepare you for all of its grizzly, graphic charm.

Based on the Dynamite Comics series by writer Garth Ennis (Preacher) and artist Darick Robertson, the superheroes, or Supes, are not the squeaky clean pillars of virtue we think they are. In fact, they are quite horrendous and show very little regard for anyone but themselves. Butcher’s “Boys” take on the task of making sure the Supes get what they deserve, even if that means being much worse than they are.

In this latest trailer, we see Hughie’s devastating entrance into the world of The Boys versus The Supes, with the poor guy learning more than he’s ever wanted to know about his own dark side. After the death of his girlfriend at the hands of A-train, Hughie teams up with Butcher’s group to take down the whole team, but Annie, aka Starlight, is the wrench in the plans he wasn’t expecting.

Starring Karl Urban (Butcher), Jack Quaid (Hughie), Erin Moriarty (Starlight), Antony Starr (Homelander), and Simon Pegg, the inspiration for Hughie in the comic, as Hughie’s dad, the first season’s eight hour-long episodes will be ready for viewing this Friday. The show has already been renewed for a second season, with Aya Cash set to play a gender-swapped version of Stormfront.

Check out the trailer below. Be warned before clicking play: it is bloody and filled with colorful language and graphic imagery.
