The CBLDF is auctioning off a very interesting item: Frank Miller’s Drawing Chair, SIGNED.

One of the most unique pieces of Comics History you might ever have the chance to purchase… the DRAWING CHAIR of Legendary Comic Artist and Writer FRANK MILLER.

This chair is stained with the same ink that created such masterpieces as SIN CITY, 300, and THE DARK KNIGHT STRIKES AGAIN. A one-of-a-kind item for anyone who is a fan of Comic Legend Frank Miller. Mr. Miller has drawn MARV from SIN CITY on the seat, and the knee rest is signed.

As long as it’s INK stained, this could actually be a fine gift for the fan who has everything. The chair appears to have had hard use, but any artist’s chair that hasn’t had hard use we’d find suspicious. We are, however, glad that Miller is getting a new chair, and putting this one to use to benefit free speech.

The current bid is up to $365.

  1. at least this makes a little bit more sense than the Gaiman leather jacket that he wore when he was out and about at the same time he happened to be writing Sandman.

  2. I find it interesting that he uses this kneeling chair- I wonder what other kinds of chairs well-known artists are using?

  3. Supposedly, a kneeling chair creates proper body alignment and is more comfortable over long periods of time.

Now if he used a saddle chair… yeah, I’d be a big worried…
