Last year BOOM Studios debuted House of Slaughter, a spinoff series of the smash-hit and critically acclaimed horror series Something is Killing the Children, from writers James Tynion IV & Tate Brombal and artists Werther Dell’Edera & Chris Shehan. Today the publisher announced the launch of a new storyline this January with issue #11 that will see original writer Tate Brombal return to the series. The creative will also include highly acclaimed artist Antonio Fuso (Stargazer), colorist Miquel Muerto, with lettering by AndWorld Design.

The storyline will see the return of fan favorite ex-hunter Jace Boucher as he embarks on a brand new mission to keep not only himself but his young charges alive in the face of a looming danger.

No longer the monster hunter he once was and unaware of Aaron’s fate, Jace’s new mission is to protect the orphans under his care. But one of these children may be in even worse danger than Jace knows, as a strange pair of eyes watches him from the woodland shadows… Can Jace lay down his overwhelming rage and guilt long enough to save them all from the terrifying threats that surround them?

Eric Harburn, Executive Editor, BOOM! Studios, expressed excitement for this new story:

“People fell in love with the complicated but beautiful relationship between hunters, rivals, and lovers Aaron and Jace in the first arc of HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER, so it’s with great excitement that we can say Jace’s journey in the Slaughterverse is far from over. This time joined by the supremely talented Antonio Fuso, as well as the return of colorist extraordinaire Miquel Muerto and letterer AndWorld Design, Tate continues to breathe life into the messy humans at the center of the monster-hunting universe that James and Werther created, bringing heartbreak and action in equal measure.”

House of Slaughter #11 features main cover art by famed illustrators Mateus Manhanini and co-creator Werther Dell’Edera with Miquel Muerto, as well as variant cover art by acclaimed artist Danny Luckert.

Look for House of Slaughter #11 to arrive in comic stores in January 2023.
