Webcomic alert: Noah Van Sciver's week
Noah Van Sciver just wrapped up a week of diaries at TCJ . it's a pretty quotidian thing, one panel to an activity from drunkenness to reading a comic. Good stuff.
In case we haven't hammered you over the head with it enough, Van Sciver's upcoming book THE HYPO, an extremely well researched look at Abraham Lincoln's early days as a depressed young lawyer, will be one of the buzz books of the fall.
SDCC 12: Fantagraphics finally goes digital with Love and Rockets
The last holdout has come in, and it's one of the biggest and best. After years of staying aloof from the digital world, Fantagraphics has announced they are going with ComiXology to release digital versions of the Love and Rockets back catalog, as revealed today on the Love and Rockets panel. We caught up with Fanta's associate publisher Eric Reynolds to get the who how what and why of bringing some of the greatest cartoonsits in the world to the digital platform:

Fantagraphics to publish Chuck Forsman
One of the most watched cartoonists to graduate from CCS, Chuck Forsman's work has been mostly available only in small mini-comics editions. But that's changing, as Fantagraphics will reissue THE END OF THE FUCKING WORLD in book form and then publish a NEW graphic novel, CELEBRATED SUMMER, in 2013. Exciting!
I KILLED ADOLF HITLER film gets Finnish director
According to Screen Daily, the movie adaptation of Jason's I KILLED ADOLF HITLER now has director Timo Vuorensola attached. The Finnish helmer is best known for IRON SKY, which is about a secret moonbase full of Nazis who escaped WWII but are back to wreak havoc.
