As revealed today by Tom Spurgeon on The Comics Reporter, Fantagraphics will be publishing a collection of short stories from Eleanor Davis into a book for 2014 release.

Spurgeon speculates that this will likely collect together the various stories Davis has contributed to the Fantagraphics anthology MOME, previously printed separately in issues 7, 8, 9, 11, and 22. This will be the first major collection of her comics in print.

There has yet to be an official release from Fantagraphics, but Davis has confirmed the news on her Twitter:

  1. Please don’t forget she’s already got two books in print, both for younger readers. Stinky from TOON Books (which my younger students LOVE), and THE SECRET SCIENCE ALLIANCE AND THE COPYCAT CROOK.

Also, STINKY was a Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor Book for most distinguished American book published for beginning readers. That’s an awesome honor for a debut book from a new publisher (I believe it was TOON Books’ first year).
