Looking back, Berger could see how the idea was very much in Shelley Bond’s and Vertigo’s interests. “The thing about Grimm Fairytales, the real fairytales, are that they are frick’n scary and bloody,” she said. “There is something domesticated about them nowadays… And I think most people today have their ideas of fairytales because of Disney.”

Captain Marvel's "Ms. Marvel Years" and a Wolverine Epic Collection scored big orders on sale (while Doomsday Clock and Saga both outperformed Metal for the "normal" releases). Sometimes the fifth week of the month is a strange one.

The second week of the sale and the numbers on new release TPBs jumped. Some titles may have sold 8 times as many downloads as there were print copies ordered into the Direct Market.
