If you’re wondering why phrases like “I KNEW IT” and “HE’S BACK” are trending on Twitter, you’ve found you answers. Yes, the Stranger Things 4 teaser arrived today, setting its fanbase ablaze across social media.
Titled “From Russia with Love,” the 50 second Stranger Things 4 teaser is – well very on the nose. We open on a railroad being built, with what I can only guess is Russian singing, slowly panning to David Harbour as Hopper, the beloved copper. As many fans guessed, the character is, in spite of vanishing into an extradimensional portal, still alive, somehow. Theories connect his survival to an earlier reveal that Russians at some point captured a demogorgon, ergo they either have the means to enter the Upside Down, or there’s an undiscovered exit point somewhere in Russia.
If so, Netflix is absolutely living up to its earlier statements that the show would be heading outside its usual Hawkins territory. We’ve got no official release date as of yet, but hopefully this Stranger Things 4 teaser is hinting towards the near future.
