Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy In Space is almost here! The dynamic duo are set to return in an all-new series with half-hour episodes and an extended season on VRV; a special screening of one episode will premiere in competition at the Ottawa International Animation Festival this week. Before that happens, The Beat has a 30-second sneak peek courtesy of Cartoon Hangover to get fans excited about the new adventures of Bee, PuppyCat, Deckard, Cass, and Toast.

Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy In Space expands the beloved world first created by Natasha Allegri, that took animation and comics by storm in 2014. Allegri, who relocated to Japan to oversee the Lazy In Space creative team at OLM, Inc. (Pokémon), will serve as showrunner with OLM and Frederator Studios (Castlevania, Adventure Time, The Fairly OddParents) co-producing.

Bee is the ultimate outsider that anyone trying to make their way in the world can totally relate to. In the new series, Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space, the beloved lead characters’ world is even more expansive (and possibly in danger) as the pair combat problems big, small, and totally weird, all while trying to make rent in time. In the first episode, titled “Little Fingers,” chaos ensues after PuppyCat spends $500 on Pretty Patrick’s mobile app game.  To help cover the costs, he and Bee take a job on a planet of wiggly worms, who are desperate to have their sodas opened.

Episodes of the original Bee and PuppyCat series can be streamed online via the Cartoon Hangover YouTube channel or on VRV.
