This week in the Small Press Spotlight, we are checking out a new series recently funded on Kickstarter. Grave Brigade centers on a select team of soldiers on a secret mission during WW2 to hunt actual monsters (not just the human ones, aka Nazis).
The comic offers readers an “old school horror and war comics” vibe “but with a modern feel.”
The series is written and created by Mike Dean and Tim Radecki. Debora Lancianese is on line art with Arthur Hesli on colors. Dave Lentz rounds out the creative team on letters.

Jack Graves leads a squad of unlikely soldiers against the forces of evil, as the Nazis have used mad scientists and the occult to create monsters to help them win the war. Comprised of thieves, murderers, and madmen, each member of the Grave Brigade has a troubled past they must overcome, but they are all good at one thing–killing. Lucky for them there are plenty of monsters to kill.
