Who’s reading more than 100 manga chapters a day? Not me, but Shonen Jump readers are. And so, the Shonen Jump app has officially removed its 100 daily chapter reading limit.

The update means subscribers can now read unlimited chapters every day, anytime, and anywhere. Alongside this major change, the app has added genre filters to help readers discover new favorites to the already existing features like offline reading, cross-device syncing, and personalized recommendations.

For those unfamiliar, the Shonen Jump app (available on iOS and Android) already offered one of the best deals in digital comics: The latest chapters of hits like One Piece, Spy x Family, and Chainsaw Man are available for free, with a subscription tier at just $2.99 per month unlocking access to over 20,000 chapters.

Previously, even paying subscribers faced a 100-chapter daily limit. While that might sound generous at first, avid readers looking to binge entire series in one sitting often hit a frustrating wall.

This change can also be seen as a strategic move against piracy. Hardcore fans who devour hundreds of chapters in a day sometimes turned to illegal scanlation sites after hitting the cap. Once interrupted, these readers often felt forced to look elsewhere rather than wait for the next day to continue. By removing this barrier, Shonen Jump not only improves the reading experience for paying subscribers but also reduces the incentive to seek out pirated content.

Ultimately, the update transforms the app into an even more irresistible option for shonen manga fans. With an unlimited daily reading experience and a price point that’s hard to beat, Shonen Jump further solidifies its spot as the ultimate destination for shonen manga.
