From San Diego Comic-Con 2026 and the Seven Galaxies Chronicles media room, host Yael Tygiel welcomed the cast of Grimm to The Beat to discuss their iconic series fifteen years later! See what David Giuntoli (“Nick Burkhardt”), Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch (“Juliette Silverton/Eve”), Silas Weir Mitchell (“Monroe”), Russell Hornsby (“Hank Griffin”), Sasha Roiz (“Captain Sean Renard”), Bree Turner (“Rosalee Calvert”), and Reggie Lee (“Sergeant Wu”) had to say about the impact of the series and more!
On where they’ve been the past fifteen years and if they’ve watched a new project that one of their cast members has been in, Tulloch said: “I mean, we were filming Grimm till 2017. But we watch everyone. David, I hope he comes back on High Potential, but his character on that show is really fun.”
On if they still get recognized for Grimm, Lee shared: “More than anything.” Hornsby added: “And all over the world.”
On if he’s still offered donuts, Lee exclaimed: “All the time! Where’s my donut now?”
On the group text chat, Turner told us: “We text all the time.” Tulloch interjected: ” Bree is famous for voice memos, which she kind of got me into them, but some of them, I shit you not, are 10 minutes long. And David’s like, I don’t believe it, and I’ll just show him, and I’m like, well, one is 8 minutes and 34 seconds, but then she continued another one for about another 90 seconds. So that’s a little bit over ten.” Giuntoli remarked: “We don’t have unlimited data!” Turner insisted: “Bitsie listens to them while she’s cleaning her house. She’s just walking around with it.” Tulloch continued: “And then sometimes like pause and I’m like okay, I have a note on that, then press play again, and then I do it back to her. So, it’s just voice memos back and forth.”
On the last time they rewatched an episode of Grimm, Turner revealed: “Well Bitsie, Claire Coffee and I hosted this Grimm rewatch podcast a couple years ago. And part of the format for the podcast was rewatching each episode and then having a special guest on related to the episode. So, I sat down and rewatched Grimm from season one, episode one, and I swear my kids are teens and all they do is make fun of me all day long and day. And I was like, this is so good, like really fangirling on the show that I was on.” Giuntoli chimed in: “It’s true though. I mean I psychologically cannot see myself on camera even if I’m watching because I am just too close to it. But then, you know, years pass and my daughter is like looking up some other G thing and Grimm pops up and, she hit play on that. She’s seven and a half now, and it was compelling, and I was, actually quite impressed. And I could see it for the first time.”
On the set lighting, Mitchell expanded: ”The lighting on Grimm was so good. They took time to light stuff and I remember Bruce said: “Yeah, it’s sculpting light.” And he said this in season two or and a half or whatever. And I was like that is such a cool way to look at it. You don’t see that much these days on the tube. Taking time to light something so there’s depth and there’s nuance, that is something that I miss. And when I look at Grimm I say “Wow, whatever they were doing it worked.”
On Coffee’s absence from Comic-Con, Mitchell teased: “She’s working in New York.” Turner continued: “We miss Claire,” and Mitchell concluded: “We love Claire!”
On Meisner AKA Damien Puckler’s current whereabouts, Giuntoli quipped: “I don’t know, just being handsome somewhere.” Tulloch chimed in: “Waiting for you, Yael.” Giuntoli added: ”I one time complimented his hair, and I was like “I love your hair there man.” And he was like “Great!” Next day he came with the product he used for his hair, for me, and it was body lotion. He just put body lotion into his hair. And let me tell you, Damien, it worked.”
On the rumors of a possible Grimm chapter 2, reboot or revival, Mitchell commented: “We’re the wrong people to ask!” Hornsby declared: “But we would love to do a revival.” Tulloch divulged: “I can say that the initial one that Peacock had tried was not greenlit. But that doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen. And we’re kind of hoping that some of the excitement that we get in Hall H might drum up new excitement. But the one that had been greenlit a year and a half or two years ago, that one’s not going forward. That doesn’t mean that we can’t do another one.”
On what they would ask fans to send into the studio to bring the show back, Hornsby stated: “Everybody either send cookies or donuts.” Giuntoli shouted: “Send donuts to NBC Universal!”
On if they remember their Wesen Woge pose, Mitchell answered: “I was the first one. And I kept saying: “I don’t know what I’m doing man” and they were like: “Just keep doing it.” I was like: “What I am I doing?” and they were like “We don’t know, whatever you’re doing.” Tulloch urged: “Do you remember it, Silas? Do it!” Mitchell replied: “Yea, it was just rawr!”
