At the Marvel Studios Hall H Presentation at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Kevin Feige and Ryan Coogler revealed that Black Panther 3 will hit theaters in 2028 with a new actor in the titular role: David Jonsson (Alien: Romulus).
Introduced to the Hall H crowd on Saturday, Jonsson will take on the Black Panther mantle in the next movie in the series, following in the wake of the late Chadwick Boseman and Shuri actress Letitia Wright. Coogler will return as director.
Black Panther 3 will hit theaters on December 18, 2028.
