At the SDCC panel for the Slaughterverse based on the series Something is Killing the Children, series writer and co-creator James Tynion IV announced the Book of Butcher one-shot, which will be published by Boom! Studios in Winter 2024.
Following the success of an earlier one-shot, Book of Slaughter, this new story will deal with the character Maxine Slaughter, as well as continue further exploration of the lore of the Slaughterverse.
During the panel, Tynion spoke extensively about the growing mythos of the Slaughterverse and the wealth of ideas his collaboration have produced with the Book of Butcher being the latest example.
