She-Ra and the Princesses of Power has a huge presence at San Diego Comic-Con International 2019, including Mattel dolls, a giant statue on the con floor, and more. Friday’s panel about the DreamWorks/Netflix animated series, which returns Aug. 2, revealed an epic She-Ra and the Princesses of Power S3 trailer, which gives a proper first look at Huntara (Geena Davis) and demonstrates Adora’s (Aimee Carrero) growing power as She-Ra, among other teases.

For two seasons, the core relationship of this series has been that of Adora and Catra (AJ Michalka) as the two have become divided by the line between the Princesses and the Horde. As they each develop relationships with others and progress down their separate paths, the emotional ties between them aren’t getting any looser; if anything, saying goodbye seems to get harder each time they do it, even as both Adora and Catra repeatedly claim to hate each other.

In season three, it looks as if that relationship will continue to drive the main conflict of the series. When last we saw Adora, she was sleeping under the terrifying gaze of Shadow Weaver (Lorraine Toussant), Lord Hordak’s (Keston John) former right-hand woman. Catra has also fallen out of favor with the villain, whose power seems to be growing in spite of that — so what happens next?

One thing is for sure: tensions are increasing and the war is coming. The She-Ra and the Princesses of Power S3 trailer makes this season seem like the fastest, most intense season yet. Check it out below and stay tuned for more news from SDCC.
