There have been quite a few rumors over the past few days over who will be play Domino in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming sequel to last year’s mega-smash Deadpool. Yesterday, Janelle Monae’s name was floating about pretty heavily, until that got squashed.

But now Ryan Reynolds has taken to twitter to pull the curtain back:

 

I know that’s a bit harder to read than he probably intended, but if you need the assist, he’s referring to actress Zazie Beetz who was one of the breakout stars of last year’s best debuting television series, Atlanta.

She’s incredible, and I can easily see her being a match for Reynolds on-screen. Domino, another Rob Liefeld creation, is a mutant with the ability to manipulate probability in her favor, allowing her to become a pretty formidable mercenary.

Now to find out who is playing Cable. If only they’d reconsider exiting director Tim Miller’s choice of Kyle Chandler. It’s hard to do better than that, in my opinion.

Deadpool 2, now directed by John Wick’s David Leitch, will hit theaters sometime next year.
