I’ve been a lifelong fan of GWAR and their various side projects (most notably X-Cops) and have just noticed that I’m, in fact, in a GWAR T-shirt today – completely coincidentally.
Dave Brockie (aka Oderus Urungus) was one of the greatest live performers I’ve ever had the pleasure to see (many, many times) – his fans will miss him, and the deluge of blood and cuttlefish ejaculate, dearly.
The world is a less fun place today.
Gonna miss his Halloween adventures in Detroit.
No one can ever fill those giant rubber monster boots.

I got the pleasure of meeting Gwar backstage at a fundraiser in Richmond many years ago. They were the nicest guys and I remember Oderus being pretty damned funny. I was very sad to hear of his passing.
