Beginning on September 1st, 2021, Eighty Days, the debut graphic novel by A.C. Esguerra will be available at your local comic shop. Today, The Beat is pleased to present an exclusive preview of the story of “love, freedom, and the fight for both”!

While this is Esguerra’s debut graphic novel, in 2016, they were awarded the PRISM Comics Queer Press Grant for Book I (EIGHTY DAYS).

Set in on alternate timeline, Eighty Days is a queer historical romance that is told through the eyes of aviators. The graphic novel will be published by BOOM! Studios imprint Archaia, yet another exciting book on the imprint’s impressive roster.

Studios today revealed a first look at EIGHTY DAYS, a brand new original debut graphic novel from acclaimed independent comics creator and winner of the 2016 PRISM Comics Queer Press Grant, A.C. Esguerra, about fighting the impossible odds to find love under the shadow of war, available in September 2021.

Jay wants nothing more than to fly. Or so he thinks, until he crosses paths with a mysterious thief named Fix whose tricks and charms draw him into the struggle against the looming aviation guild to which Jay owes his very being. As Jay becomes further entangled in the turbulence of Fix’s cause, each man must learn to navigate shifting allegiances, the fight for freedom, and the greatest adventure of all — love.

  1. I really like this manga, the way to express each character’s personality is very clear. Readers could not take their eyes off each page of the story, I read it very passionately.
