Cliff Chiang will write, draw, color, and letter a new book for DC Comics’ adult-oriented Black Label branding, Chiang announced Saturday at New York Comic Con.
The announcement came at the end of a question and answer session about Chiang’s most recent project, the now-concluded Image book, Paper Girls, which was a collaboration with writer Brian K. Vaughan, colorist Matthew Wilson, and letterer Jared K. Fletcher. Chiang did not reveal anything else about his Black Label book.
He did, however, note that working with such a talented writer has inspired him to get back to writing as well. Chiang’s most-recent work for DC Comics was the New 52 era run of Wonder Woman, which was colored by Wilson and written by Brian Azzarello.
