Playing up on all the excitement over the now filming Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and the already hot Wolverine movie, Marvel is offering a few free digital Infinite Comics through their Marvel Comics App. Guardians of the Galaxy: Rocket Raccoon  is a new adventure for “everyone’s favorite Guardian of the Galaxy” by Brian Bendis, “motion” comics genius Yves Bigerel and Ming Doyle. SOLD!!!!! FREE!!!!!!!!

While you’re there, Marvel is also offering (for pay) Wolverine: Japan’s Most Wanted #3the third chapter in a 13-partInfinite Comics  by Jason Aaron, Jason Latour and Paco Diaz. ALSO SOLD.

Stranded in the far reaches of Japan, Wolverine must slice his way not only through the deadly Silver Samurai, but the entire Tokyo police force. Yet even when he’s outmanned, outgunned, and on the run, Wolverine is still the best there is at what he does—but he’s not the only one

.
I like how Marvel is using digital to tie in with their film releases. It’s a smart-on-paper strategy that should pay off to get new readers drawn into the comics.

  1. Not trying to be the “someone is wrong on the internet” type, but this comic has been available for several months already (for free). I’ll then refrain from making snarky comments and just leave it at that.
