Unbelievably, there was a time BEFORE Star Wars Legos: a wretched period of human history lacking in joy and light and Bobba Fett minifigs. That time was only 20 years ago – and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this momentous milestone Lego is releasing five 20th Anniversary sets, each with a special collectible minifigure.
Star Wars was the first LEGO product line featuring a licensed property. Since then we’ve had Harry Potter Legos, Marvel Legos, DC Legos, Ghostbusters Legos and many many more. Hours and hours of happy building and now these sweet anniversary sets.
The five sets span the history of the Star Wars franchise, with podracing, Clone Scout Walkers, the Battle of Hoth and Bobba and the Slave I – including a spot to put a carbonite encased Han Solo into the hold. Good times.
