Today, Marvel Entertainment officially debuted the trailer for Legion‘s second season. The critically acclaimed FX show, executive produced by Noah Hawley and based on the David Haller character created during Chris Claremont’s and Bill Sienkiewicz’s New Mutants comic run, returns on April 3rd with new episodes that promise new dangers for its leads and more fantastic visual innovation for us viewers.

For those who need a refresher, Legion focuses on David Haller (Dan Stevens), a man who initially believes himself to be schizophrenic but, as it turns out, actually has incredible psychic powers. But along with that gift comes an unfathomably dangerous curse– there’s a parasite living inside of him named the Shadow King. The Shadow King, aka Farouk, is an old mutant– perhaps one of the oldest– and it wants David’s mind for itself.

Over the course of the first season, David and his allies do battle with the Shadow King, who is primarily portrayed by Aubrey Plaza as an aspect of David’s fragmented memories. In the second season, viewers will meet the real Farouk, portrayed by Navid Negahban.
