“After two hugely successful drops with Humble Bundle, we decided it was time to fully open the Heavy Metal vaults for this truly special third drop,” said Kris Longo, Heavy Metal Associate Publisher & Chief Sales Officer. “To wrap our 45th anniversary year with this comprehensive look at Heavy Metal’s legacy is something our fans will surely love, and hopefully new fans will embrace too. And there’s no better partner for this than Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.”

“In 1986, the arrest of a comic shop manager for selling Heavy Metal led to the founding of our organization,” states Jeff Trexler, Interim Director of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. “As yet another wave of censorship threatens access to the comic arts, we’re truly grateful to Heavy Metal, Humble Bundle, and everyone who gets this stunning collection of cutting-edge creativity for your supermassive support.”

  1. Never mind with the Humble Fumble – why has this magazine has been consistently late with their newsstand issues? Their last issue appeared a month ago dated June 2022 and this was the first issue released since the last one I bought before San Diego Comic-Con, so technically, as a monthly publication (whose price has been jacked too high since changing ownership) they’re five months behind on current issues.
