The LA Times Book Prize is one of the more prestigious literary awards in the US, and the winner of the Graphic Novel Category is likewise quite an honor. This year’s nominees have just been announced, and as usual, it’s a pretty art comix-focused list. In fast, two of the books – Anti-Gone and Iceland are practically mirror images of each other. All five books are totally worthy of the nomination.
Occasional comics author Ta-Nehisi Coates was nominated for the Non-Fiction prize for his “We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy”
