Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today revealed the newest addition to the Injustice 2 character roster, the powerful sorcerer Doctor Fate. Players can catch a glimpse of Doctor Fate in action in a new gameplay trailer, where his mastery of magic is on full display.
Back in July at SDCC, we had the pleasure of interviewing Mortal Kombat creator/ Injustice lead Ed Boon in order to find out more about the game. All the promotional materials leading in pointed to the Helmet of Fate. During the interview, I kept coughing Doctor Fate at him and like the troll he is would do it right back at me even when the subject was changed. To the credit of his PR play, could never actually confirm it being the case. Well played, Ed, well played.
Doctor Fate will make his in-game debut alongside a deep roster of DC characters such as Cheetah, Poison Ivy, Black Canary, Blue Beetle, and Deadshot. Injustice 2 will be available for the PS4 and Xbox One on May 16, 2017 while the Injustice 2 tie-in comic written by Tom ‘T-Money” Taylor will debut in April.
