This morning Hasbro revealed the latest addition to the Marvel Legends line of figures – a five-pack of The West Coast Avengers! The pack includes 5 of the core members of the team including Iron Man, Marvel’s Mockingbird, Marvel’s Tigra, Spider-Woman and Hank Pym. The pack, an exclusive to Amazon, comes with 16 comics-inspired accessories.
Debuting in a four-issue limited series in 1984, the team was founded Hawkeye in an effort to expand the team’s influence. Joining him were Mockingbird, Wonder Man, Tigra, and Iron Man, who at the time was Jim Rhodes. The miniseries eventually led to an ongoing series and with other heroes joining the team over the years such as Hank Pym and Spider-Woman/Julia Carpenter. In 2018, a radically different incarnation of the West Coast Avengers debuted as part of Marvel’s “Fresh Start” initiative that consists of Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Gwenpool, America Chavez, Quentin Quire, and Kate’s boyfriend Johnny Watts.
