Today during the DC Fandome festivities DC and Spotify announced five new cast members for the upcoming Batman Unburied podcast. In a NewsFlash presented by The Flash‘s Candace Patton, it was revealed that Gina Rodriguez will join Batman Unburied as Barbara Gordon. Other newly-announced cast members for the audio series include Sam WitwerEmmy Raver-Lampman, Jessica Marie Garcia, and Jim Pirri.

Rodriguez, who previously starred in Jane the Virgin and Annihilation, unveiled her own casting as Barbara Gordon, who in the Batman Unburied series is a GCPD officer, described as “grappl[ing] with her own ethics, as she tries to keep within the lines of police work yet is finding herself drawn to Batman’s self-styled method of justice.”

Witwer, best known as Darth Maul in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will play a cannibalistic killer called The Harvester. Raver-Lampman’s character, Kel, is described as “a sultry medical student helping Bruce while hiding a few secrets of her own.” Garcia plays iconic DC character Renee Montoya, who in the series is Barbara Gordon’s partner, and who is described as “smart enough to pick up Barbara’s bullshit, but begrudgingly puts up with her shady behavior.” Pirri plays Arnold Flass, another GCPD cop who is known to comic fans as Jim Gordon’s corrupt partner in Batman: Year One.

The newly-announced cast members join the previously-revealed cast, which includes Winston Duke as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jason Isaacs as Alfred, Lance Reddick and Toks Olagundoye as Thomas and Martha Wayne, Hassan Minhaj as The Riddler, Ashly Burch as Vicki Vale, and John Rhys-Davies as Dr. Hunter.

The Batman Unburied podcast is produced by DC and Spotify, and developed and produced by David S. Goyer, co-writer of the three Christopher Nolan-directed Batman films. No release date has yet been announced for the series.
