Iwan Rheon, who played the brutal and conniving (among other colorful descriptors) Ramsay Bolton on HBO’s Game of Thrones will be trading in one villainous role for one that’s slightly more sympathetic.

The Welsh actor, who was also a star of the British series Misfits, has signed on to play Maximus, the roguish brother of Black Bolt, on the Marvel/ABC series Inhumans.

Here’s the logline on the character per Marvel’s press:

“Marvel’s Inhumans” will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family. In the series, Maximus is a clever and charming Inhuman that is fiercely devoted to the people of Attilan, especially his brother, the King – although he harbors an intense desire to wear the crown himself.

Marvel’s Inhumans will debut in September with a two week run of the first two episodes on IMAX screens before they air on network television. The series will be showrun by Iron Fist head Scott Buck.

Rheon is a great start for the casting of this series, given his resemblance to the character and ability to dominate the screen. Could this be where Marvel’s Inhumans push finally catches on? I’m much more interested now than I was before.
