It’s Friday, so we’re about to call it a weekend over here on the Entertainment side of The Beat, but here’s a couple of quick items of interest:
- Marvel and Netflix’s Iron Fist has added its second cast member, following Finn Jones as Danny Rand, as the series has enlisted another Game of Thrones alum in Jessica Henwick. Henwick will play Colleen Wing, the other lead of the series, she’s described by Entertainment Weekly as: “A martial arts expert running her own dojo, Colleen will serve as an invaluable ally to Iron Fist, aka Danny Rand, as he returns to his life in New York.” Henwick played one of the “Sand Snakes” in Game of Thrones, and was also an X-Wing pilot in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
- Also, on the other side of the fence, AMC has provided another teaser for its upcoming DC/Vertigo series Preacher, airing along with this Sunday’s finale of The Walking Dead. Give it a look below:
