You might remember this odd bit of news from 2018 where an American missionary was killed by North Sentinelese people of India’s Andaman and Nicobar islands. It made the news and was all over social media at the time. The headlines were that a “missionary” was killed by a “remote” Indian  tribe. The reality was a bit more complex than that and Satwik Gade manages to explain the situation, what happened and the colonial attitudes contributed to both the event and the aftermath.
