The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem, the six-issue miniseries by Gerard WayShaun SimonLeonardo Romero, Jordie Bellaire, and Nate Piekos, wraps its run in March of 2021. Ahead of Dark Horse’s full solicitations, the publisher has revealed, exclusively via The Beat, the trio of covers for the final issue of the series. The issue will sport a main cover by Romero, plus a variant cover by original Killjoys artist Becky Cloonan, and a second variant by Brian Chippendale.

Each issue of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem has sported a trio of covers, with Romero and Cloonan providing two of them, and a murderer’s row of incredible artists on the third, including Paul Rentler, Motohiro, Andrew McLeanSteve Seeley, and Alvara Tapia Hidalgo. Romero’s cover for issue 6 has a fantastic classic comics feel to it, and Cloonan’s cover is as beautiful and moody as her work always is. But Chippendale’s variant is particularly impressive, a spectacular cacophony of colors and textures that really jumps off the page.

Check out all three covers by Romero, Cloonan, and Chippendale for The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem #6 below. The issue arrives in stores in March of 2021.
