Red Sonja has a long history of being a fearsome badass wielding her sword and intimidating both friend and foe. In Dynamite’s newest ongoing series Red Sonja (2019) Vol. 5 #6, the iconic character’s legacy continues, complete with fresh adventures and Sonja facing some of the most terrifying adversaries in her long history.
The exciting first arc is coming to a dramatic end with issue #6, which will then set the stage for Sonja’s next series of adventures. Entitled “Temple of Ghosts,” the tale features the dreaded Dragan making Her Majesty an offer that would end an invasion but sacrifice everything. Sonja The Red must weigh the awful costs before the decision is no longer hers to make. Once again, the character finds herself faced with an impossible choice, especially when she has lost so much already.
Written by Mark Russell (The Flintstones, Second Coming) and drawn by artists Mirko Colak (Conan) and Robert Carey, the issue offers fans a selection of stunning covers by top artists like Amanda Conner, Joseph Michael Linsner, Christian Ward, and Richard Pace as well as multiple cosplay variants of the flame-haired warrior.
