Mad Cave’s Papercutz imprint is launching a new detective series next spring, and today The Beat has an exclusive preview of the first volume. Petectives Volume 1: The Grilled Cheese Caper is written and illustrated by Jason Platt and stars famous petectives Purrlock and Marlowe.
When someone steals all of the sandwiches at the annual Grilled Cheese Festival, Purrlock and Marlowe have to find the culprit before the entire day is ruined beyond salvation! They have a list of suspects: Purrlock’s arch nemesis, Meowiearty; Jinny Giraffe, who’s upset about the Grilled Cheese Festival interfering with her plans to put on an art festival; and Coach Alligator, who was banned from last year’s Grilled Cheese Festival.
