“I have literally been following Barry Windsor-Smith’s career since 1969 when he debuted at Marvel Comics and immediately became my 2nd favorite artist (after Jack Kirby),” said Fantagraphics Publisher and Co-Founder Gary Groth. “So, it is a distinct pleasure to have the privilege of finally presenting all the work he did for Marvel (with the exception of Conan) in a gorgeously produced three-volume hardcover series.”

The second and third volumes of The Marvel Creator Collection: Barry Windsor-Smith at Marvel will feature his work on Machine Man and Weapon X, among other milestones.

The Marvel Creator Collection No. 1: “Back to the Savage Land” – Barry Windsor-Smith at Marvel, Vol. 1 will be available everywhere books are sold on April 29.

  1. I got this as a kid when it was reprinted in minicomic format, for some sort of Halloween giveaway pack. It’ll be fun to see it reprinted in the way that Fantagraphics has been doing their other Marvel books!
