As Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds #1 began, Cliff Steele found himself blessed with a human body. After countless adventures as the mighty Robotman, Cliff was flesh and blood once more. However, after a disastrous meeting with his long estranged mother, Cliff found normal life too hard. Echoing the disaster that served as the catalyst for his initial transformation, the issue ended in a fiery car crash. And now, as Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds #2 starts, we see Cliff rebooted once again — Robotman is back.

And he’s got a shiny new upgrade system to match his shiny new metal form.

Like a character in a video game, Cliff’s new body allows him to unlock new upgrades to his form for every good deed he performs. From watering plants to stopping whatever weird positive energy goombas are popping out of Negative Man’s body, every heroic action Cliff makes gets him a power up. What a cool life!

And what’s this about the Joker in my Young Animal book?!
